Previously, Rachel worked with a non-profit that pushes for community-focused transportation planning (sandiegohistoricstreetcars.org). Rachel graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish, where her coursework was heavily weighted toward Latin American studies and community development.
Rachel lived four months in Brazil where she published research in Portuguese on mental health access in rural areas. In San Diego, she was highly involved with youth initiatives along the U.S.-Mexico border and presented on behalf of her team’s innovative work at several press conferences and local government meetings in Tijuana, Mexico.
