Samuel Gerald Alimamy Kargbo joined Edify in April 2021. His role is to serve as the Sierra Leone Country Director charged with the responsibility to plan, organize and lead all activities necessary to implement Edify’s vision to improve and expand sustainable Christ-centered education in Sierra Leone.

Prior to joining Edify, he served as the Principal/President of The Evangelical College of Theology for seven years, and led a non-profit humanitarian organization called Agape Development Initiatives as Executive Director for eight years. He is currently serving as a Senior Pastor of a local Baptist Church.

Samuel earned his Bachelor of Theology in Christian Education from The Evangelical College of Theology in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Master in Education majoring in Educational Administration, Master of Arts in Peace and Development Studies respectively from Njala University in Sierra Leone, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree (DMin.) majoring in Transformational Leadership from Bakke Graduate University, USA.

Samuel has established two Christian private schools in Freetown, Sierra Leone and facilitated several leadership trainings for pastors, school proprietors, and teachers.

Samuel is passionate about equipping and empowering Christian leaders and other workers in the fields of education and church ministries to provide transformational and innovative solutions for the purpose of expanding God’s Kingdom on earth.

He is happily married to Emma Emilia Kargbo and the Lord has blessed them with six sons. He has received several awards.
